RAMS pack generator

Pick a job on a fit-out company’s project sheet and issue its RAMS pack: a Word file and a PDF, built in your browser from that row and a fixed library of method statements, risk assessments and policies. The company is fictional. The postcodes are real, and so are the hospitals the pack sends people to.

Run logC

Pick a job and issue its pack. Each step prints here as it runs.

  1. A A real postcode. The pack finds the nearest A&E, fire station and police station from it when you issue it.
  2. B Each trade on a row adds its own method statement and risk assessment. Three of each come with every pack.
  3. C Each line is written by the step it describes, as that step runs.

How it works

The sheet
One row per job: the client, the site, the dates, the team and the trades. In a real company it is the sheet the project managers already keep, in Smartsheet or Excel.
The library
Method statements, risk assessments and company policies, each written once. A pack takes the ones every job needs and one of each for every trade on its row. Only the job’s own details, the issue date and the emergency services are filled in at the moment of issue.
The emergency services
The pack looks the site’s postcode up on postcodes.io, then finds the nearest A&E, fire station and police station in a copy of OpenStreetMap kept on this site (© OpenStreetMap contributors). Specialist hospitals and the minor injuries units it recognises by name are left out. The pack prints the date of the map data and says to confirm all three at site induction.
The documents
The Word file and the PDF come from the same document, so they carry the same sections in the same order. Both are made in your browser and never uploaded.

Not for use on a site

The company does not exist and nobody competent has reviewed its library, so every page of every pack says it is a draft and not for use on any site. A real pack goes out only once a competent person has approved the content it is built from.

The real version

In your company, the sheet is yours, the library is your own approved RAMS content, and the pack goes to the job’s folder for sign-off. Finding where that saves your teams the most time is what the Workflow Diagnostic is for.

Start with a call

The call takes 30 minutes. I ask how the work moves today, not which tools you use.

I’m based in Lisbon, Portugal, and work UK hours. I’ll be on site anywhere in the UK and Europe, with travel inside every fixed price.
